As an illustrator,

I love telling stories. I love the connection between words and images. A successful illustration has not only a narrative relationship to the accompanying text, but a visceral one as well. An image can express the emotional center of a story or help to frame the central idea within the context of a larger world. I see my work as a collaboration between the literary and visual arts.

I currently teach drawing at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, am taking commissions for editorial and narrative-based projects, as well as character design, animation, and storyboarding projects.
